I hate DC traffic. The slightest threat of rain and cold weather causes people to lose their minds. What I don’t get, is when they lose their minds, they go slower. I need to get out of this place. It took me two hours to get home today. The only positive was I was able to listen to roughly an hour and ten minutes longer to my book than normal. I’m about 2 1/2 or 3 hours into Ready Player One. I’m honestly digging it a lot more than I thought I would. I’ll be seeing this movie. More information on that when I’m closer to finished, though.
So today was Day 8 of Isagenix, which is a measurements day. Long story short, I am down a total of about 4.25 lbs, down over 5 1/2 inches, and bloodsugar has gone from 329 when I first started to 188, when I tested 30 minutes ago. A couple of disclaimers, though. I took my bloodsugar about 2 hours after I’d eaten, because I’m tired and want to get to sleep rather than wait. That will probably account for some of the weight, as well, as I was down an even five pounds this morning. The water is going to start getting cut back, I think. I just feel overly full with that much water (a gallon) so I started today with a little less than half of that. Probably could have used a little more, but after having dinner I’m good.
Speaking of dinner, much to friends’ chagrin, I had Qdoba again. Just a burrito bowl with nothing fancy; maybe a total of 810 calories, give or take? No Wendy’s this time, though! I did not have any energy after the drive home and the four hours of sleep I got last night. Got some pain in my right shoulder from pushups, but I’m going through it because I’d made the commitment. I don’t think it’s an injury; just sore. I had to roll my windows down (despite the little bit of rain) because I was falling asleep with my eyes open. Tonight, my goal is to be asleep no later than 10:30; that’s two hours better than normal. I know, I know–I need more sleep.
Doing the math on everything now, I’m averaging under 200 for my bloodsugar since the start of this, and it should only go down. I would be a little concerned about my reading, but it was only two hours after I’d eaten, and I have probably been taking my metformin too early (@ noon, vice with dinner). Tomorrow I’m going to change that around and take it later in the day and see what effect that has. Amanda works tomorrow, so I’ll be fending for myself with the kids. I think we have pizza left…for them. For me, I might pick me up a little filet or sirloin or something, and maybe a sweet potato and the rest of the broccoli I have in the fridge. Honestly, I can’t even think about eating right now. I’m still full. And tired. Gonna crash.
